Fresh Fruit Cake

Today is my little Talker’s
3rd Birthday!!
I can’t believe he is 3 already!
Time really does fly by too fast 🙁

In honor of his birthday,
I thought I would post what we did for a cake last year
as we are having his birthday party
with a Bowser Cake
later this month
(due to trip)
We’ll post the Bowser Cake when we make it!
He LOVES fruit
He has been known
to eat a whole pound of strawberries
on our way home from the store
and can eat the majority of a watermelon
all by himself!
He will eat mostly fruit at dinner
and that is it
So a fresh fruit cake was just perfect for him!
He was napping when I made it
and the look of pure excitement when he saw it was priceless
He was so THRILLED about all the fruit!
My older kids kids helped decorate it
Here is what we did:
We took a mini watermelon and cut off the rind
and cut the ends,
so it would stand
We sliced up some cantaloupe
and then took our Mickey Cookie Cutter
to make Mickey Cantaloupe shapes
We then just took toothpicks
and stuck the Mickey Cantaloupe onto the watermelon
The older kids took toothpicks
and stuck the blueberries in
Then we did a crown of strawberries on top
with a sliced apple (not sure if you can quite see in the picture)
in the middle of the strawberries
All his favorite fruits
It was a huge hit
He LOVED it!
REALLY easy to make
and healthy to boot!
