Homemade Butter Cream Frosting – Vanilla or Chocolate

I don’t get why you would buy frosting in a can?
you can make frosting at home
cheaper and it tastes
WAY, WAY
Better
and it is super easy

As long as you have butter,
powdered sugar, and some milk (or soy milk in our case)
in your house,
you can whip some up in minutes!
and it is creamy and delicious!
I guess if you don’t have a mixer
the stuff in a can is easier…
Ingredients
  • 1/3 cup butter – softened (if you forget to take it out of the fridge, just microwave it for like 10 seconds – don’t melt it though!)
  • 3 cups powdered sugar
  • 1-3 TBSP milk
  • If you want chocolate – 1/3 cup Cocoa
  • For Vanilla – 1tbsp Vanilla (or just use vanilla soy milk, Like I do)
Directions:
Put the butter and powdered sugar in the mixer. If making vanilla, add the vanilla, or if chocolate, add in the cocoa. Mix on LOW and slowly, slowly add in milk. Let each addition of milk combine in the bowl before adding more, so you can see the consistency. Add milk until you get your desired consistency. Whip longer for a fluffier, lighter frosting. How long you whip and how much milk you add will determine your consistency – thick or thin, heavy or fluffy
Super easy and delicious!
