Warm Jam Foam

Even with a sick baby
I still had to get a small batch of Jam made

Seriously,
you buy the berries
and they start to mold the
instant your bring them home from the store
and I bought them
without thinking about the baby getting shots 😛
(they were on sale at Fred Meyer – we usually just get a large batch of berries from a farm, or from our neighborhood, which is FREE, and make a big batch of jam, but thought I would try a small batch, since it was a good sale at Freddy’s)
So I HAD to make the Jam
before the all molded 😛
Luckily,
I know how to get it done
fairly quickly!
Managed to get it done
while the baby napped,
got dinner in the crockpot,
and while I was making
everyone else’s lunches!
The above picture is the foam
that you skim off the top of the Jam you make
I could seriously live off this stuff
Warm, fresh off the stove!
I put it on warm on my buttered toast
to eat with my scrambled eggs for lunch
YUM!
I think I am going to have to
go make another slice while it is still warm.
I only make Jam once a year
(or twice this year! I usually make enough at once for the whole year… this batch was not nearly enough)
so this is a rare treat 🙂
Mmmm…
(yes, I do have an obsession with good food!)
