Million Dollar Spaghetti – revisited!

with only so-so results
but I wanted to make it again
because I knew the recipe could be good!

I am glad I did!
This second time worked even better
It was delicious!
Yum!
goes to show you
even if something doesn’t work the first time
but has the ability to be a good recipe
try it again
It worked this time
and we will be making this again for sure!
My son thought it was like Lasagna
I guess he is kind of right!
It is very similar
but really easy to make
and throw together!
Ingredients:
  • 1 lb of meat – ground beef/turkey/chicken or sausage
  • 1 jar of spaghetti sauce
  • 1 cup cottage cheese
  • 1 block (8oz) Cream Cheese (I use the 1/3 less fat)
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 10 oz of spaghetti (I use angel hair)
  • 2 cups shredded Mozzarella or cheddar cheese – or both (I used a mixture of both! use less if you want to save a few calories)
Directions:
Heat oven to 350
Cook your spaghetti according to directions. While pasta is cooking, brown your meat.  (I cook it in some garlic and Montreal steak seasoning – totally optional, but I like it). Once cooked, add the spaghetti sauce to it and stir it together. When the pasta is cooked, drain and put it back in the pot
In a small bowl, combine the cottage and cream cheeses, the sour cream, and the garlic powder. Place half of your pasta into the bottom of a 13×9 pan. Spread the cream cheese mixture on top of the pasta. Top the cheese mixture with the other half of the pasta. Pour the meat sauce over the top. Top it all off with the cheese. Cook for 30-45 minutes, until heated through..
Serve with some salad and french bread! YUM!
