Thanksgiving Leftover Casserole

Thanksgiving Leftover Casserole

This is probably my family’s favorite dish after thanksgiving

It works well for after Christmas as well

Our Thanksgiving Leftover Casserole

It is easy, and delicious

and is like thanksgiving in one pan!

Stuffing, gravy, turkey (or ham or both!) cheese, and mashed potatoes

all combined into one delicious casserole

This time,

I assembled it in the slow cooker

and just put it on my “keep warm” setting

because we were heading swimming

and I didn’t want the oven on while we were gone

It worked PERFECTLY!

So if you don’t want to use the oven

assemble it in the slow cooker

and put it on keep warm for up to 3-4hrs

(I think mine was in there 3.5 hrs on warm and was perfect!)

Ingredients:

  • Leftover stuffing (or 1 box of stove top, or homemade stuffing)
  • leftover turkey or ham – or BOTH! Even better with both!
  • Leftover gravy (or one recipe of gravy, thicken a can of chicken broth with butter/flour roux)
  • 6-8oz of shredded Swiss Cheese
  • Leftover Mashed Potatoes (or one recipe of mashed potatoes)

Directions:

Heat oven to 350

In a 13×9 pan (or your slow cooker), layer the stuffing, then the turkey/ham, top with the swiss cheese, then pour the gravy over. Top everything with the mashed potatoes. Bake in the oven for 30 minutes or until heated through and the gravy is bubbling up through the mashed potatoes (or on keep warm in the slow cooker for up to 4 hrs)

Enjoy! This is a popular Thanksgiving Leftover Casserole at our house!!
