Cream Cheese Frosting

Cream Cheese Frosting

I use this frosting so often, I thought I needed to finally write it down. I LOVE Cream Cheese Frosting! I mean, who doesn’t? It is probably the best frosting you can make. Don’t get me wrong, I love my buttercream frosting, but cream cheese frosting is just soooo good on so many different things.  Cinnamon Rolls, Carrot Cake, Pumpkin cupcakes, the list could go on and on….

I have never bought the stuff in a can at the store. It just sounds gross. It is so EASY to make frosting! It takes less than 5 minutes, and it tastes so much better! Just say no to the frosting in a can!

Ingredients:

  • 1 8oz block of Cream Cheese
  • 1/4 cup butter (softened)
  • 2 tsp vanilla
  • 2-3 tsp milk
  • 4 cups powdered sugar

Directions:

Put all the ingredients, except for the milk in your stand mixer, or in a bowl and use your hand mixer. Start blending slowly, until it begins to incorporate. Add in the milk, only if needed. Whip the frosting until you get your desired consistency.

Be careful not to add in the milk until you see if you need it. This time I made it, I put in the milk before I needed it and added too much – that is what I get for letting a 4-year-old help me make it 😉 Oh well, we just added some more powdered sugar to help firm it up!
