Oreo truffles

Oreo truffles

These Oreo Truffles are the most coveted treat in our house. When I make them, I have to divide them up and put them in bags with everyone’s names on them, so everyone gets the same amount, and no one complains that someone else ate all of them or ate more than they did. They are probably one of my kids favorite candies/treats that we make.

The best part is that they are super easy to make. I got the recipe YEARS ago (well before Pinterest) when someone brought over a plate of treats at Christmas and we fell in love. She shared the recipe, and told me how easy they are to make. Yeah – delicious and extremely easy – what’s not to like?

Ingredients:

  • 1 pkg. Oreo Cookies
  • 1 8oz block of cream cheese (I always use the low fat)
  • White Chocolate melt discs or Chocolate (milk, dark – whatever your prefer!)

Directions:

Crush oreos in your food processor. Add in cream cheese and blend until completely blended together. Shape into balls (I use my cookie scoop) and place balls onto a greased cookie sheet. Place sheet in freezer until they are firm. Melt your chocolate in the microwave. I use the white chocolate melting discs – easy to use and melt. Dip each ball in the chocolate and place back on the cookie sheet. They will only take a minute or two to harden. Done.

Eat and enjoy!
