Reese’s Pieces Chocolate Peanut Butter Cookies

Reese's Pieces Chocolate Peanut Butter Cookies

I had picked up a bunch of Reese’s Pieces on Amazon when there was a coupon – they were a great deal. I love Reese’s Pieces, but they are a rare treat around here, since they are not that common of a candy to find in the stores. I knew I wanted to make something with them. I was going to make just a plain Peanut Butter cookie and add in the Reese’s Pieces, but then my husband asked, “Why not add in chocolate too?” Yes! Why not? I gave in and made it with chocolate too (it was really hard to convince me to add the chocolate. HA! *sarcasm*)

They were good! I mean, it is peanut butter and chocolate cookies – what’s not to like? (well, unless you are allergic to peanuts that is!) I have more Reese’s Pieces, so I’ll be making these again soon. I think they would be a fun cookie for Halloween – it has all the colors you are looking for!

Ingredients:

  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 3/4 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1/2 cup softened butter
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 3/4 cup flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 cups Reese’s Pieces
  • 1/2 cup Cocoa (or you could do 1 cup chocolate chips)

Directions:

Mix the egg, butter, sugar, peanut butter, and vanilla together until light and fluffy. Scrape the bowl and then add in your flour, baking soda, cocoa, and salt and mix until combined. Add in the Reese’s (and chocolate chips, if desired). Refrigerate for at least 2 hours or overnight.

Heat oven to 350. Scoop the cookies onto a greased cookie sheet and bake for 8-9 minutes until the tops just begin to set – do not overbake.

Enjoy!
