Air Fryer Fried Chicken

Air Fryer Fried Chicken

I finally used our Air Fryer to make some “fried” chicken. It.was.so.good!!! We gobbled it up! Plus, it cooked up REALLY fast! I only made boneless Chicken Breast and they were juicy, flavorful, and DELICIOUS!

I think it would taste really good in a soft bun with some mayo on it too – like Chick-Fil-A. YUM! We may try that next time. I thought I got a picture of all the chicken I made piled up on the plate, but apparently, I didn’t? Or it’s not on my phone. Oh well! I made a bunch and only 2 small pieces were leftover. My husband will probably pop those in the air fryer to reheat and then eat them on some bread (as stated above)

Ingredients:

  • Chicken – breasts, thighs, wings, drumsticks, whatever kind you’d like
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 tsp Baking Powder
  • 1 tsp Paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic
  • 1 tsp Oregano
  • Fresh Cracked Pepper
  • Any other spices you’d enjoy

Directions:

Soak your chicken in buttermilk for a couple of hours. Mix your flour, baking powder, and spices together (I didn’t measure too well, just what looked good!). You can mix it on a plate and dredge the chicken in the coating, or mix it in a paper bag and shake your chicken in the bag. I mixed it in a paper bag, then placed all my chicken pieces in the bag (without the milk), closed the bag and shook. Super EASY! Place a single layer of Chicken in your Air Fryer. Spray the chicken with some cooking spray. Heat Air Fryer to 375-400. The type of chicken will determine how long it will take to fry. If you chicken has bones, it will take longer than boneless. For my thin, boneless, skinless chicken breasts, It took about 5 minutes on one side. I then flipped the chicken, sprayed the other side with cooking spray and cooked another 2-3 minutes.

Eat and Enjoy! You can eat on a bun with some Mayo and feel like you have some yummy Chick-Fil-A takeout!
