Hurricane Ridge: this was the first stop on our previous trip to Olympic National Park and our last stop on this trip! We stopped at the Visitor’s Center just before you head up the Mountain and they had lots of fun things to play with and explore there! For sure worth a stop when visiting. (we did not stop here last time)
We then headed up the Mountain. Last time we were here, the weather was great – but that was also in the summer. In October – it was COLD! There was even some snow on the ground. Back down the mountain, it was warm enough you did need a coat. Up on the Mountain – FREEZING.
Last time, we were able to do some hikes around the mountain top. This time, we got out, took some AMAZING pictures, and then got back in the car because the kids were FREEZING and there was no way we were getting them to go on a hike. Take what we can get I suppose.
On the way back to our Condo, we stopped by Costco in town for some Food. The kids wanted Ice Cream… After freezing on the Mountain Top – Go Figure! Kids! We got some Pizza to take with us as well.
Even though it was cold on this trip, it was well worth the visit to Hurricane Ridge simply for the Spectacular Views – the views really are AMAZING up there!!
