Height Chart

I’ve been on a crafting kick lately
Here is one thing I made this week:

For each of my kids
I make a Height Chart
I remember parents measuring their kids
on the walls of their home
but what happens when/if you move?
With these
you can take those memories
with you wherever you go!

On one side of the measuring tape
you record their height

on the other side
you can put a picture of them at that age
 so freaking cute!

So, with the new baby,
he needed his own board
so I went to work on it

Here is what you need:
A fence board
spray paint or any random paint you have laying around
measuring tape
hot glue gun
whatever you want to put the name at the top
picture hanging kit

Step 1:
sand your board

Step 2:
Paint your board
(yes, this is that easy to make!)

Step 3:
After dry,
hot glue the measuring tape to the board

Step 4:
Do whatever you want to put the name at the top:
Sharpie
Vinyl
paper
I personally decoupaged (with homemade decoupage.. will do another post on that!) the name that I printed on bright paper
Whatever you want

Step 5:
put the picture hanging kit on the back of the board (I always do it at 60″, so it is easy to hang on the wall)

Step 6:
hang on wall

Step 7:
Measure kid however often you want!
I personally measure my kids every 6 months

My kids LOVE this
They like seeing how much they have grown
and I like not having to remember to record it in their baby books!
