I adore Oreos
Dip them in some milk…
Mmmmm….
My husband made
We do like us some Oreos around here!
When a friend on Facebook
posted that she made Homemade Oreos
I was all over that
Mmmmm.Mmmmm.Mmmmm
They are yummy!
We made them with both white
and chocolate filling
Since my Husband prefers the chocolate!
Although,
I am not sure there were any left
by the time he got home from work 😉
I also recently made them with my Homemade PB Frosting
YUM!
Ingredients:
Oreo cookie:
1 1/4 cup flour
1/2 cup cocoa
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
1 cup Sugar
1/2 cup plus 2 TBSP butter
1 Egg
Filling:
1/2 cup butter
2 cups powdered Sugar (add more, if desired, depending on how thick you like the frosting!)
1 tsp vanilla
Milk – if needed
Add in 1/3 cup Cocoa if you want chocolate filling
Instructions:
Heat oven to 375
Mix the sugar and butter. Add in the egg. Mix in the flour, cocoa, baking soda, baking powder, and salt in until the dough comes together. Take a rounded spoon full or use your trusty cookie scoop (LOVE mine!) and place the cookies on a greased cookie sheet. Bake for 9 minutes. Cool on rack
Filling:
Put the butter in the mixer and slowly add in the Powdered sugar. Add in the vanilla. Whip until the frosting is light and fluffy. Add milk as needed to desired consistency
Take a ziploc bag and fill it with the filling (or you could use a pastry bag) and snip off the corner. Pipe the filling onto one cookie. Top it with another cookie and you have a delicious Oreo cookie!!
ENJOY!
