Greek Yogurt Cake

My Husband is not a big fan of cakes
He prefers pies
but we recently tried making cake
with Greek yogurt
and fell in love!

The cake comes out denser,
thicker, and more brownie like
(ohhhh… I LOVE me some brownies!)
In other words,
It is really good 🙂
This is now my favorite
and about the only way I make cake now
(unless I am out of plain Greek yogurt and I need to make cupcakes for school or something!)
Bonus to the great taste:
it is actually Healthier for you!
No oil, eggs, or butter
(unless you count the frosting, that has butter… but you could not make/use frosting.. HA! who am I kidding!)
You don’t taste the yogurt
at all…
Give them a try
I think you’ll be surprised at how good they are
I know we were!
Ingredients:
  • 1 box of Cake Mix – we use Devil’s food… Going to be trying it this week on a white cake though!
  • 1 cup Plain Greek Yogurt
  • 1 Cup water
  • A batch of my Homemade Butter Cream Frosting

Directions:
Mix the cake mix, yogurt, and water together until well combined. The mix will be a bit thicker than you are used to. Put in pan of your choice (2 rounds, 13×9, cupcake) and bake according to the box directions
Super easy, delicious, and healthier for you!
