- 2 tbsp butter
- 2 tbsp flour
- 1 can (14oz) chicken or vegetable broth
- 2 cups cheese (I don’t really measure, just put in cheese to your liking! Use 1-5 different types – your choice!)
Directions:
Melt the butter in a saucepan. Add in the flour and combine well. Slowly add in the broth. I add in about 1/4 at a time and whisk it to combine with the flour/butter and then continue to slowly add the broth and whisk until all added and throughly combined. Boil it for just a couple of minutes. Add in your cheese. Taste it and add in cheese until you get your desired flavor. For this batch, I added cheddar, Parmesan, I had a slice of provolone from another meal leftover, as well as a little mozzarella. Do whatever mixture you want or even just cheddar is GREAT (that is often what we have). It is a pretty foolproof sauce to make.
Both of the pictures are taken of the same batch that I made the other night… I guess the lighting was different on my stove and on my table!! Simple, easy, and delicious! Enjoy!!
