Mmmm…
I made this the other night
and it is for sure being added to our regular menu lineup!

My husband was really enjoying this dish
asking when we were going to make it again…
My 8 year old ate about 3 helpings!
It was delicious!

Plus,
it comes together rather fast
We made it after soccer practice
when everyone was STARVING!
I had it on the table in about 20 minutes
after getting home..
Not bad!

One skillet creamy pasta and sausage Ingredients:
  • 1 lb Sausage, sliced –  I used Turkey Kielbasa. My husband said he would like a spicy sausage in it, but our daughter would NOT like that idea!
  • Olive oil
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • Garlic – to taste  (about 3 cloves for me)
  • 2 cups or one 14oz can of Chicken Broth
  • 1 can (14oz) Tomatoes (I used the “Mexican” kind with green chilies)
  • 1/2 cup cream
  • 8 oz Pasta – I used Rotini but Penne would work well too
  • Fresh Cracked Pepper – to taste
  • 1 cup shredded cheese – I used cheddar, but Monterrey Jack would be great too

Directions:
Place a little olive oil in a large skillet. Saute the onion and then add in the Sausage. Cook until heated through and lightly browned – add in the garlic. Add the broth, tomatoes, cream, pepper, and pasta to the skillet. Bring to a boil, cover skillet, and reduce heat to a simmer. Cook until Pasta is soft, probably about 15 minutes. Once the Pasta is soft, stir in the cheese. Serve!
