Tried out a few more Gluten Free Desserts and this one was my favorite of the bunch. Seriously, you won’t notice the black beans or the lack of flour. My kids gobbled them up! They had no idea they were gluten free. Plus less sugar than regular brownies, so they’re healthy right?! I topped them with some of my caramel frosting (ok, so that lowers the “healthy” factor) and YUM! So delicious! Who knew?!?!
I’m sure these will get made again here. The ingredients are stuff we always have on hand. Plus, they are super easy to whip together! Easy and delicious is always a winning combination around here!
I used a 12×8 pan, and I think that was the perfect size. You could use 13×9 for thin brownies or an 8×8 for thick brownies.
Ingredients:
- 1 15oz black beans, drained and rinsed
- 3 eggs
- 1/4 cup butter, melted
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 cup cocoa powder
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips
- Optional: Caramel Frosting, Peanut Butter Frosting, Buttercream Frosting, Cream Cheese Frosting
Directions:
Heat oven to 350. Grease a 8×8 or 12×8 pan (I used a 12×9 pan for medium sized brownies)
Place all ingredients, except chocolate chips into your food processor or blender. Process until smooth. Scrape into your prepared pan. Sprinkle the chocolate chips over your batter. Bake for 25-30 minutes. Cool. They really do need to cool before you eat them. Top with frosting if desired.
