Brown bag Microwave Popcorn

Somehow,
I did not realize that you could so EASILY
Make Microwave popcorn
in minutes
without buying those bags in the grocery store
Seriously,
It does NOT get any easier or CHEAPER than this
Simple and Easy
just the way I like cooking/baking/making food
The popcorn is plain,
so you can add anything to it that you want!
I like to make my homemade microwave
but you could add
butter, cheese,
chocolate, peanut butter –
really whatever you like on popcorn
Seriously,
I am still in awe of how simple and CHEAP
this is!
A bag of popcorn kernels is dirt cheap in the grocery store
No more buying the microwave bags in the store,
full of mystery ingredients and chemicals!
Needed:
  • Brown Lunch Sacks (I have these around for when my kids forget their lunch boxes at school :P)
  • Popcorn kernels – 1/4 cup
  • PAM or couple drops of Olive Oil – OPTIONAL (I’ve done it with and without, works just fine both ways!)
  • Any toppings you want to add after… or just eat plain and healthy!
Place 1/4 cup (I have the smaller brown bags, if yours are a bit bigger, try 1/3 cup) of the corn kernel in the brown bag and fold the top of the bag over twice, to securely close. If you wanted, you could spray your kernels (before you close the bag) with some cooking (PAM) spray or drop a few small drops of olive oil on the kernels and shake the bag, but this it is not necessary, and only if you want to do it. Place in the microwave for about 2 minutes or until the popping slows down.
That’s it! Seriously, so freaking easy! Then add whatever toppings you desire 🙂 My homemade Caramel Popcorn recipe is my favorite! (it sooo is delicious and EASY! made in the microwave as well!)
