I recently switched all my websites over to WordPress and BlueHost hosting service. Bluehost came highly recommended and the price was right! Plus unlimited domains and storage.
When I say recently, I mean I just switched this site yesterday (I switched the others a few days earlier and worked the kinks out! Took me a few days to learn WordPress, before I wanted to switch this site)
Well, last night I was installing some new plugins on this site then all of the sudden it CRASHED
I could not even get on my admin site
I couldn’t log on and the site was throwing 500 internal error
My husband is a Software Engineer, who deals with this stuff all the time and he could NOT figure it out
We looked through error logs
I managed to find and delete the plugins that I had just installed…. NOTHING
It was 11:30 at night. I decided I wasn’t going to figure it out, and I was too tired to do a Chat to figure out what was wrong.
So I decided to send an email, thinking that if I was lucky, they would respond by morning.
I send the email, check facebook quickly, and then start to shut down my laptop
But before shutting down, I refreshed the website one more time to see if the 500 white screen was still up…
I was shocked! This site was back up!!!!
I thought, “Man I am sooo good! Something that I did finally worked. It must have just taken some time for the changes to take effect…” I just started this whole web hosting thing and I am already a pro!
Yeah… Not so much. I check my email. Bluehost emailed me. “We fixed your problem. Your site is back up and running”
I can’t believe they did that so fast!! Late at night to boot!!
The time stamp on my “I need help…” email was 11:43pm
Time Stamp on “We fixed it” email was 11:58pm
So they got my email, got into my account, figured out what was wrong and emailed me back in 15 minutes!!
That’s AMAZING!!!
Had I known their customer service was so GREAT and FAST, I would have contacted them from the beginning and not wasted so much time trying to figure it out myself (although, I did learn some new things trying!)
Bluehost really sold me on their services last night. And they are CHEAP! I mean less than $5 for unlimited domains and storage, they were the best price I could find. Plus I now know they have AMAZING customer service to boot! I am a loyal customer now, for sure!

And this site will NOT be getting a cool recipe plug in anytime soon 🙁 I was trying to install a recipe plug-in, so you could easily print and see the recipes on this site…. Yeah, I think I will have to get over the whole crash thing before I try that again!
