This weekend, I married 2 of my favorite desserts. It made me happy. I probably should not have done it before my pregnancy glucose test, but I didn’t think about that. I was good and didn’t eat any in the hours before my test. But after my test….. 🙂 I did pass my glucose test at least!
My kids were THRILLED with these brownies. When they were warm, it was actually hard to tell the difference between the cookie and the brownie. Once they cooled, it was easier to tell what was cookie and what was brownie. It was ALL good! Mmmm…. We had to hide the pan, because my 2-year-old wanted to eat a brownie every time he saw the pan of brownies. He is a bit of a sweets addict – I have NO idea where he gets the from…*shifty eyes*
I need to get onto my Christmas Baking now… I am not sure if I have posted all of my favorite recipes yet – I’ve meant to each Christmas, but keep forgetting! This year, hopefully it will happen!
Ingredients:
- Your favorite brownie recipe or box. I used my favorite brownie recipe
- 1/2 recipe of Chocolate chip cookie dough (I made a full batch… the extra 1/2 batch may or may not have ever been made into cookies… it may have just gotten eaten as dough….)
Directions:
Make your brownies according to your recipe. Place in a greased pan – I used a 13×9 pan and a 13×9 brownie recipe. Make your Chocolate Chip cookie dough. Place scoops of cookie dough into your brownie dough.
Cover with foil. Bake at 350 for about 50 or so minutes – yes it takes longer than normal! Start checking your brownies around 40 minutes. You may need to take the foil off near the end to get it to completely bake. I take it out a little early, because I like the brownies SLIGHTLY underbaked and fudgy.
Cut and enjoy! We got about 32 brownies from our 13×9 pan (we don’t cut them very big).
