I am a brownie snob
I don’t like them from a box or the store
Yes, I can tell if they are from a box or scratch
They are so much better from scratch
(Just like my Chocolate Chip Cookies)
and this is the BEST homemade brownie recipe
I have subjected myself to be a guinea pig
to trying out lots of different brownie recipes
I do it for the good of science!
and for you
(ya… that is a BETTER excuse!)
This is the BEST brownie recipe I have found
Fudgy chocolatey goodness!
This is my go to recipe
and I use it as the base for all brownie desserts.
Trust me
BEST BROWNIES EVER!
The Best Homemade Brownies Ingredients:
- 1 cup butter
- 2 cups sugar
- 2 tsp vanilla
- 4 eggs
- 1 cup flour
- 3/4 cup cocoa
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
Directions:
Heat oven to 350. Spray a 13×9 pan with cooking spray. Microwave butter in a bowl until melted. Combine the melted butter, sugar, and vanilla. Add in the eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each one. Then add in the flour, cocoa, baking powder and salt until well blended. Pour into prepared pan. Bake for 30-35 minutes, until the brownies begin to pull away from the sides of the pan. Cool and enjoy!
Now here is a frosting recipe to put up on top of the brownies if you desire. It is DELICIOUS with the frosting!! However, I do not feel like I need the frosting every time. When I am just eating brownies, it is a great addition. Last night, I made them to eat with Ice cream (pictures are from last night), so I did not find it necessary. It is all good!!
The Best Homemade Brownies Frosting:
- 1 stick of butter
- 2/3 cup cocoa
- 3 cups powdered sugar
- 1/3 cup milk
- 1tsp vanilla
Directions:
Melt the butter. Stir in the Cocoa. Add in the powdered sugar and vanilla. Slowly add in the milk, until you get your desired consistency. I like to let my mixer get it nice and whipped! Put on top of brownies for a divine treat!
