So we tried to see other beaches while on the Big Island, but we either couldn’t find the beach, there was NO parking, or you had to pay a fee to go to the beach. Eventually, we gave up and just went to the beach within the Hilton Waikoloa Village (FREE, easy to find, and lots of parking). Anaeho’omalu Beach was a 2-minute drive from our room at Kings Land. There are some tide pools to explore here too! Restrooms and showers are available as well.
The beach wasn’t usually that busy/full. It was beautiful and warm. The water was calm, which was great for the kids. They could still Boogie Board though! Kid #5 Boogie Boarded for the first time! He LOVED it. The snorkeling wasn’t great here, but they still had fun with it! (in the video I say something about kid #4 needing to try it. Don’t worry – he did and then we couldn’t get him off the board. It became his favorite thing! He had boogie boarded before though.)
