Chocolate and Peanut Butter. A match made in heaven! I have an addiction to homemade cookies. I can eat a dozen of them without even thinking (which is why I use my mom hack to keep me from making too many at once!).
This is another hit around our house. But really, can you go wrong with Chocolate chips, peanut butter, and cocoa?!?! YUM! /some of my favorite things in one cookie!

- 1/4 cup shortening (or just use 3/4 cup TOTAL butter instead)
- 1/2 cup peanut butter
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 eggs
- 2 1/4 cup flour
- 1/2 cup cocoa
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 cups chocolate chips
Directions.
Cream together the butter, peanut butter, sugar, and brown sugar. Add in the vanilla and eggs until combined. Add in the flour, cocoa, baking soda, and salt and mix well. Mix in the chocolate chips. Refrigerate at least one hour. Heat oven to 375. Scoop cookie dough onto cookie sheets and bake 8-10 minutes. Place on cooling racks and allow to cool – if you can wait that long!
