Last stop on this trip was Redwoods National Park. I have to admit, I was not that impressed with this park. I guess living in the Pacific Northwest – I can seriously just walk on the path near my house and see very similar trees, vegetation, etc. So it wasn’t too exciting.
However, we were able to mark another National Park off the list and the kids got their Junior Ranger Badges complete! So not so bad!
We also went and saw the “big tree” on the “big tree” trail. The tree was big! However, after the awesome Founder’s Trail in Humboldt State Park, this trail just wasn’t quite as awesome.
All in all, I am glad we went once, however, I don’t see us going back anytime soon – unless it is on the way home from San Francisco or something like that. We won’t be making a trip just for the Redwoods though. Worth a trip once and we’re good! If you’re not from the Pacific Northwest, then it is well worth a trip to see these beautiful trees and spectacular scenery.
