Christmas in the Garden at the Oregon Garden Resort

Last night, we visited Christmas in the Garden at The Oregon Garden Resort. A few years ago, we had a membership to the Oregon Garden, but we hadn’t been in several years!

As you enter, you hear Christmas music playing – but not too loudly, it was just at the right noise level. One of the first things we saw was Mr. Narwhal from the movie “Elf” That is one of my favorite scenes in the movie! That and “You sit on a Throne of Lies” part!

We then saw Santa!!! There was no wait to see him and they offered to take a family picture for us! All of us in one photo!

We hit up the Snowless Tubing next. This was the big kids’ favorite part! They LOVED it! The Tubing and Ice Skating (which we didn’t do) are an extra cost.

I gave up trying to load the individual videos, so here is a quick video I edited together:

Then we wandered around the light displays. The Candy Cane tunnel, Castle, Umbrellas, and Rainbow Lane were favorites. Of course, the kids also got excited by the Charlie Brown display! We loved all the “warming spots” aka. fire pits! So fun and a great way to warm up. We lucked out with fantastic weather though!

They also have a holiday market and many food and drink stands – including a family-friendly Biergarten.

Admission for kids 10 and under FREE! So if you have young kids, this is a VERY affordable outing. Admission cost changes depending on the day. I highly recommend going during the week as we did! The crowds are lower, plus admission and parking costs are less than the weekend. You know I am all about going with low crowds and easy on the pocketbook! Purchase your tickets online to save even more money!

Christmas in the Garden is a great way to spend the evening as a family. We fully intend to head back next year and enjoy the lights again! If we lived a bit closer, we would get the season pass (the kids want the pass for the tubing alone!). It’s a great way to get into the Christmas Spirit and enjoy some family time!

Disclosure: Oregon Gardens provided us with tickets for this event.
