Wings and Waves Waterpark

Wings and Waves Waterpark seems to be an annual Christmas Break Tradition for us now – and I’m not sad about it. We always love our trips here – we have a great time!

The kids love going. It is fun for the entire family and quite the workout going up those water slide stairs all day long!

There is almost always a Groupon available for the park. I was able to score 50% off admission for us! Pretty sweet deal! It came out to about $80 for the 8 of us for the day there (the 2 youngest were free).

We took our own snacks and lunch. They say no outside food or drink, but no one seems to care. We saw everyone with their own water bottles and lots of outside snacks. I think if you don’t lay out a big spread on the table, you’ll be fine. We didn’t bring in a cooler either. Just some snacks and food in our bags. Remember, your mileage may vary. Just don’t make a big deal about it.

Our kids made it through 3/4 of the day. It opened at 10 and closed at 6. We ended up leaving with exhausted kids around 4.

We got there when they opened at 10 – that is the best time for the slides, as there are NO lines! My daughter did all 4 of the BIG slides in 15 minutes with no lines. The lines are longer mid-day and then closer to closing, get shorter again!

The water is really warm – which is so nice! Plus all being inside – warm as well! I much prefer inside water parks for their temperature control – ha!

Some parts of the park are starting to show its age, so it could use a bit of refurbishment, but overall, it’s holding up well!

All of our kids had a great time. I am pretty sure the 3 year old would have moved in – he was living his best life here!

The baby LOVED sitting on mom or dad in an inner tube in the wave pool. He also loved the water squirting out of the ground in the playground area.

It must have really worn the 3 year old out because he slept for 15 hours after the trip! He was exhausted!

We obviously enjoy our time here, because we keep coming back year after year. If we lived just a little closer, I’d probably get annual passes or something! However, with a good Groupon, you can make this a really fun and affordable family day!
