Teton National Park is simply gorgeous. Stunning. However, there isn’t much for smaller kids to enjoy, so if/when we return, it’ll be when they are older.
The other problem we encountered – which is the same at all the National Parks – is simply the lack of parking available to visit the parks. We went early, so we were able to get parking at Jenny Lake, but by the time we were done at Jenny Lake, we couldn’t really go anywhere else, because all the parking lots were full. At least we got to enjoy Jenny Lake! Mormon Row was also easy to see and we didn’t have any parking issues there.
We started the day at the Craig Thomas Discovery and Visitor’s Center. Usually, the visitor’s centers at the National Parks are meh, but this one was really cool! It was obviously newer and they got some money to make a nice, new visitor’s center. We had a great time exploring it! The baby especially liked the virtual walkways they had (screens in the floor). Lots to touch and explore for a toddler!
Then we headed to Jenny Lake. We had to go to my Lake! The kids had a great time playing in the water. It was really cold water though (duh!). After Jenny Lake, since we couldn’t really park anywhere else, we went to Mormon Row and then headed back to the hotel.
One day, when we have older kids, I’d love to bike around the park. There were TONS of paved biking paths and it looked like it would be a great park to bike around – Someday!
