After Silverwood Park, I searched for things to do in Spokane that were inexpensive and would give the kids something to do before we headed towards home. Manito Park came up in my search and it had my favorite price – FREE! So figured it was worth checking out!
Manito Park may be the best public park we have ever been to (and I do LOVE Central Park in NYC). The Gardens here are AMAZING! Seriously, in most cities, you have to pay to go to these kind of gardens! I know I have paid for Japanese Gardens before and at Manito Park – FREE!
The Japanese Garden was lovely and traquil. Duncan Garden was spectacular – like somthing out of the movies. There are over 90 acres of landscape, flowers, and gardens. So many different gardens to check out. I could have explored half the day here, but the kids were done after the 2 gardens, so we headed out.
If in the Spokane area, be sure to stop in at Manito Park – you won’t regret it! We will be back to see some more if we are ever in the area again!
