Pretzel’s and cheese – such a good combination! How did I never think of combining the two on chicken before? It worked out really well! YUM! Of course, I just enjoy cheese sauce! This is easy to make and delicious!
Tator tots or some sort of potatoes are a great side for this chicken. Then you can dip the tots in the cheese sauce too!
Ingredients:
- 1/2 bag of pretzels
- 6-8 thin chicken breasts (I take 2-3 LARGE breasts, cut, and pound them into 6-8 thinner pieces)
- Egg
- Olive oil
- 1 batch of cheese sauce
Directions:
Heat oven to 350
Grind pretzels in a food processor or blender, or simply place in a bag and smash with a rolling pin. Heat a skillet with a small amount of olive oil. Place a cooling rack on a baking sheet, or simply place some foil on a cookie sheet to prevent sticking. Dredge the chicken in the egg and then coat with ground up pretzels. Place in heated skillet and cook until golden brown on each side.
Place on cookie sheet and put in the oven to keep warm while cooking other chicken breasts. If not thoroughly cooked through, simply allow to bake in the oven for 5-10 minutes, until breasts are cooked through.
Meanwhile, make your Cheese Sauce. Top chicken breasts with the cheese sauce. Enjoy!
